User (Personal) Views


You are recommended to read "Understanding Views" before this section.


These views belong only the SpeedBase user who created them. On a multiuser environment, other users cannot see this views when they are logged in. Every user can create/modify or delete the views he/she has created.

Creating New User View

While you are displaying a record list window; Click "View" from main menu, click "New Custom View".
This will open view configuration window.

Modifying Existing User View

While you are displaying a record list window, select the view you wish to modify from view selection box.
Click "View" from main menu, move your mouse to "Customize Current View", click "Modify".
Optionally, you may also right click your mouse on record list window and select "Modify This View" from popup menu.
This will open view configuration window.

If this menu command is not available, you have probably selected a public (shared) type view. See Public Views to learn how to modify or apply filter to a public view.

Applying Filters To User Views

While you are displaying a record list window; Click "View" from main menu, move your mouse to "Customize Current View", click "Filter Settings".
This will open filter configuration window.

If this menu command is not available, you have probably selected a public (shared) type view. See Public Views to learn how to modify or apply filter to a public view.

Setting a View As Default View

When you open a record list which has multiple view definitions, SpeedBase will automatically display it using the default view.
If you wish to set the default view for your user account only, select the view you wish to make default by using the drop down list box placed on top right of the record list, click "View" from main menu, click "Customize Current View", click "Set As Default".

Deleting Views

If you do not want to use a custom view any more, select the view you wish to delete by using the drop down list box placed on top right of the record list, Click "View" from main menu, move your mouse to "Customize Current View", click "Delete". Deleting a view also deletes the attached filter settings to it if created.
If this menu command is not available, you have probably selected a public (shared) type view. See Public Views to learn how to delete a public view.
Deleting a view does not affect actual data (records) in your database.
